What to Expect

Experience California's incredible marine wildlife on an unforgettable 4-hour whale watching adventure departing from Sausalito.

Cruise beneath the Golden Gate Bridge and along California's spectacular coastline in search of feeding humpback whales during the height of their seasonal feeding. Along the way, enjoy breathtaking views of San Francisco Bay while keeping an eye out for harbor porpoise, dolphins, sea lions, seals, and a variety of seabirds.

Every tour is led by passionate marine biologist naturalists who bring the ocean to life through fascinating stories, current research, and insights into whale behavior, ecology, and the remarkable marine ecosystem surrounding the California coast.

What to Bring

​

  • Warm layers and a windproof or water-resistant jacket

  • Closed-toe shoes (water-resistant footwear is recommended)

  • Sunscreen, sunglasses, and a hat

  • A camera or phone

 

If you're prone to motion sickness, we recommend taking preventative medication before departure.

 

Light snacks and non-alcoholic beverages are available for purchase onboard, though you're also welcome to bring your own water and snacks.

Trip Photos

After your tour, we'll send you a link to a shared Google Drive folder with many of the photos we took throughout the day. While these are simply our personal photos rather than a professional photography service, we hope they help you relive the experience and share your adventure with family and friends.

If you take photos you're proud of, we'd love for you to add them to the shared folder too. It's always fun to see the trip from everyone's perspective.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made 14 or more days before departure are eligible for a 95% refund. The remaining 5% covers non-refundable payment processing and booking platform fees.

Cancellations made within 14 days of departure are non-refundable.

Our tours operate in a variety of ocean conditions, and a little wind, fog, or swell is all part of the adventure. However, guest safety is always our top priority. If Blue Giants cancels a trip due to unsafe weather, sea conditions, or other unforeseen operational circumstances, you will have the option to reschedule for a future trip or receive a full refund.
